Camille Rose Curl Love Moisture Milk Review: An Honest Look (2022)

Applying leave-in is an essential step of a curly hair care routine, and finding that perfect leave-in that fits all your needs might be an uneasy task. Luckily, we have Camille Rose Curl Love Moisture Milk! Read on this review, and I will tell you why I love this product (and brand) so much.
First of all, this brand focuses on curly and coily hair oily, and that’s the way it was from the beginning. In 2011 Janell Stephens was mixing various beauty products in her kitchen and now is one of the largest Black-owned hair-care brands in the United States.
Camille Rose products are also natural and suitable for those who follow the curly girl method (CGM). It ticks all the right boxes for me. What about the ingredients then? Are they any good?
Camille Rose Curl Love Moisture Milk ingredients (INCI)

There is an ingredients list of this leave-in:
Deionized Water, Behentrimonium Methosulfate (BTMS), Cetearyl Alcohol, Persea Gratissima (Avocado) Oil, Oryza Sativa (Rice) Bran Oil, Aloe Barbadensis Leaf Juice, Ricinus Communis (Castor) Seed Oil, Macadamia Ternifolia Seed Oil, Sorbitol, Camellia Sinensis (Green Tea) Leaf Extract, Oryza Sativa (Rice) Milk, Rosa Canina (Rosehip) Fruit Oil, Ceteareth-20, Ulmus Fulva (Slippery Elm) Bark Extract, Phenoxyethanol (Optiphen ND), Caprylyl Glycol, Phthalate Free Fragrance, And Love!
Let’s take a closer look at some of the Curl Love Moisture Milk ingredients. Are they beneficial to your waves, curls, and coils?
Avocado oil
Protects, strengthens, moisturizes your hair, and has vitamin E, which is essential if you want your hair to be strong and shiny.
Rice bran oil
Rich in omega 3 and 6. Why it’s good? Because it nourishes the hair and even helps with the frizz! Rice bran oil also makes the hair more manageable and thicker.
Aloe barbadensis leaf juice
This plant contains vitamins E, C, and A, moisturizes your hair like crazy, and improves shine as it has amino acids. If your hair is dehydrated, look for this particular ingredient. Don’t forget that it has to be at the top of the ingredients list!
Macadamia oil
This lightweight oil is absolute magic in a liquid form. It not only keeps your hair moisturized but also prevents your hair ends from breakage and adds a healthy shine to your strands. Fatty acids in the macadamia oil might help to strengthen hair.
I love this product because there are lots and lots of effective and beneficial ingredients inside, as you can see.
- A softening leave-in conditioning cream with light notes of macadamia nut and vanilla
- Rice milk offers potent vitamins A, D, and B12
- Macadamia oil seals strands, aiding in breakage prevention
- Slippery elm bark softens and smooths the hair shaft for detangling benefits
- Perfect for colder weather when curls become overly dry
- Great for 2nd-day curl refresh
- Works wonders for curly and coily hair types

Why to choose?

Camille Rose Curl Love Moisture Milk is widely available and reasonably priced. I love to try new niche things and microbrands, but at the same time, I believe those good quality products have to be easily accessible and affordable for everyone. Camille Rose is a great example.
You can find Camille Rose products almost everywhere: Target, Whole Foods, Amazon, and so on. The price for the bottle is between $8 and 15 dollars. I know that it’s not the cheapest leave-in on the market, but its texture is very rich, so a little goes a long way. I bought my bottle half a year ago, and there are still some left!
Curl Love Moisture Milk nourishes, moisturizes, and adds some healthy shine. What’s not to like?
Pros
I have to be honest with you: I was initially unsure if this product would suit my type 3A curls as I believed Curl Love Milk was created for people with at least type 3C hair. I’m so glad that I’ve tried it anyway!
- It does not contain glycerin, which is excellent as it doesn’t work well for everyone (it widely depends on the air humidity, I will explain it later).
- It has a thick texture
- No harsh ingredients or parabens
- Smells good but not too intense—something between vanilla and caramel.
- It doesn’t weigh my hair down or make it greasy.
- I feel that moisturizing effect until my next wash as well.
Cons
- Higher price point
- Might not be suitable for thin hair
How to use it?
I’m using Curl Love on soaking wet hair, and sometimes when I need to refresh my curls on day 3 or 4. You can also use it on damp or even dry hair (but it would only work for coils, in my opinion).
This product is suitable for kids and silver hair.
Camille Rose Curl Love custome reviews
I’ve read lots of Curl Love reviews on Amazon and there are mostly positive.

See, I’m not lying: people are raving about this product. It has more than 2000 reviews on Amazon!
Camille Rose Curl Love Moisture Milk Review: The bottom line
I have to agree that the product’s price tag is on the higher side, but when I think if I should buy one thing or another, I try to remind myself that I definitely purchased more expensive products, which were a total waste of money.
This product is my holy grail, and if you haven’t tried it yet – buy it and let it do its magic, my curly friend!
Get the hair you deserve!
